I have been looking for these yellow metal Bistro chairs ever since I saw them at Big Star, a Chicago taco stand.
I think they would make a perfect addition to my dining room table. Finally I found them, and they are on sale too.
As a lover of all signage, I hit the when I found Type Archive. This collection of images displays mostly handpainted and vintage signs from all corners of the
globe. With these signs becoming more and more rare its nice to have a place where you can enjoy them all. {via www.junkculture.blogspot.com}
One of the things I love most about traveling is the little freebies you pick up. Usually matchbooks
or postcards, they make great momentos that I usually like better than the ones I purchase.
I recently stumbled across the Hungry Girl blog when I was google searching for paper straws. This blog is so beautiful and
delicious at the same time, its hard to decide whether or not i want to eat the food or put it in a picture frame.
One lazy Sunday afternoon while we were visiting in Basel we decided to stop by the Paper Museum. It had been recommended by our professor and I am SO glad we listened. On the bottom floor
was an original working paper mill where we could make our own paper and THEN on the top two floors there was nothing but letterpress goodness… lead type, presses, and letter punch demonstrations

This summer I am getting to spend three weeks in Basel, Switzerland at the Basel School of Design. While I am here, I am participating in a poster design and typography workshop taught by the schools full time faculty. The design over here is so clean and fresh,
even the trash bags are beautifully designed. Yesterday we joined the locals in their tradition of floating down the Rhine River, it was a bit chilly but definitely worth it. I think a girl could get used to this.
Alejandra Laviada makes one man’s trash look like treasures through her amazing photo sculptures. Her first solo exhibition
is currently at PhotoEspaña in Madrid.
CT is a graffiti artist in Turin, Italy. Most of his works contain bold geometric + typographical elements. I think they
are pretty cool. He has many many more that you can check out here.
I really enjoy the graphic design work of studio Postmammal, which is the pseudonym for the work
of Robert Murdock. It’s simple, fresh, and sleek and I find it really inspiring.
