Last weekend i unintentionally wandered into a store here in Chicago called Post 27. The store carries both local and national goods that include; furniture, art, accessories, and lighting.
But what I found even more amazing than their inventory was the store’s decor. The decor utilized vintage craft paper stencils, player piano scrolls and old luggage. Very creative!
Just had to share…I saw this when I went to SoHo House in
LA. Painted by Harland Miller, based on the Penguin Classics.
I am speechless…Leah Evans sure can make a quilt! She
pieces, dyes, and stitches together aerial landscapes.
This image is a part of series shot by photography Martin Kollar entitled, “Nothing Special”
Martin does an excellent job of capturing the absurdity and humor in everyday life.
It was love at first sight with this delicious poster series by Nick and Nadine. They were asked by the online music store Insound to design
a set of 10 posters for their favorite bands of 2010. In an ideal world I would purchase the box set of all 10 signed prints. Maybe ill just stick with one.
My work is planning pretty cool things for our events lately…here is some light writing experimenting.
Photo by Nick Becker. Reminds me of the famous photograph of Picasso by Gjon Mili.
Just looked at my old Virb site and found this photo…I remember taking this through a
peephole in my motel room in Yates Center, KS. A little town in the middle of nowhere.
I love the simplicity of this set of four prints made by the online type enthusiasts, Friends of Type. These four “friends” all share a strong passion
for beautiful typography and their website and shop is a testament to that. Enjoy.
World renowned graffiti artist Banksy has made a documentary about
his work that is now on tour in the U.S. Add it to your netflix queue.
The Andrew Rafacz Gallery here in Chicago is currently exhibiting a show by
Wendy White. I am really drawn to her oversized graffiti-esque paintings.
